Travel Information

The camp does not assume responsibility for arranging transportation to camp, but we are anxious to assist. Consult your airline agent for schedules. Campers should plan on flying into Albuquerque International Sunport on the Sunday of Opening Day, and flying out on the Saturday of Closing Day. Limited commercial flights are also available through the Santa Fe Municipal Airport.

Campers will be met at the airport if we are notified in advance of arrival times. All luggage should be clearly marked on the exterior for easy identification in the terminal. If your child is under 15, you will need to use an unaccompanied minor form, so they will be helped by airline personnel. If you choose to do this, please make sure you pay for this service, traveling both to camp and returning home as well.

Another helpful suggestion: Since we have so many children coming by plane each summer, we have to transport the luggage at one time during the day. If a camper arrives by plane, her luggage may not arrive until the late afternoon. She may want to carry a change of clothes with her on the plane to have when she arrives at camp.

Once your child arrives at the airport, she will be met at the gate by a camp representative wearing a camp staff T-shirt. Your child should stay with the camp representative at the airport until departing for camp on the camp shuttle bus. When they arrive at camp, they will need to proceed immediately to our registration line.
